blist

We collaborated with blist’s team to create the world’s easiest consumer database. We worked with the founding team to integrate agile design from product conception through the product lifecycle. We helped them understand the target audience by creating use case scenarios and creating a task-centered approach to feature design and prototyping.

Our challenge was presenting existing Excel users, who’ve been using the tool as a lightweight database tool, with an intuitive interface that enables them to work with a powerful Database Management System without knowing it.

We delivered a user experience that press and critics raved about. blist was first shown at Demo’08, and the demo video has been one of the most viewed video on Demo’s website since then.

It was the ease of use of the product that attracted [VC] Scott Darling, a general partner at Frazier Technology Ventures.

The application is very intuitive and easy to learn and their design team has put a TON of work into making sure the user experience is solid. It’s one of the most well-designed Flex applications that I’ve seen and it’s still in the early stages.
