Amir is a User Experience Guru who’s been designing and launching products for the past 10 years.
After getting his Computer Science degree in 1999, he started creating application for several software giants including Microsoft, Adobe and Corel. In 2001, Amir joined the Human Computer Interaction Lab at the University of Maryland, where he studied and developed various information visualization tools and mobile interfaces. In 2004, he started working with Microsoft Research on projects related to software visualizations for program comprehension by integrating social recommendation systems into development environments. Later that year, he accepted an offer from Microsoft to join the Expression teams as a program manager. Amir stayed with Microsoft for 3.5 years, working on designing user experiences for desktop and web applications. In 2007, he left Microsoft and started Fictiv with the mission to enable innovation through design thinking and agile user experience. Since then, he’s helped several companies define, design, and launch their products. Amir holds a Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
